Department of Transportation medal ribbons, set of 9.
These medals and ribbons are awarded to civilian personnel, and were awarded to US Coast Guard personnel, prior to their transfer to the Department of Homeland Security.
Top row: Transportation Distinguished Service Medal (obsolete),
Guardian Medal (no longer awarded) and
Valor/Heroism Medal (used for both).
Second row:
Outstanding Achievement Medal (Gold Medal),
Meritorious Achievement Medal (Silver Medal) and
Superior Achievement Medal (Bronze Medal).
Third row: 9-11 Medal
