Order of Bogdan Khmelnitsky (Ukrainian Order of Bogdan Khmelnitsky) is a state award of Ukraine for awarding citizens of Ukraine for special merits in protecting state sovereignty, territorial integrity, strengthening the defense capability and security of Ukraine. The badge of the Order of Bogdan Khmelnitsky, 1st class, is made of silver and has the shape of a convex multi-beam star with a cross superimposed on it. The cross is covered with dark red enamel, two crossed swords diverge from under it, point upwards. In the middle of the sign, in a circle framed by a wreath of oak leaves, is the image of the heraldic figure "Abdank" - the coat of arms of Hetman Bogdan Khmelnytsky. The rays of the star, the springs of the cross, the swords, the wreath are gilded, the elements of the “Abdank” figure are made of yellow and white enamel. All images are embossed. The size of the sign between opposite ends of the cross is 50 mm. In the upper beam of the cross there is an eye through which a ribbon is pulled to wear the badge of the order around the neck. The order number is engraved on the reverse side of the badge.
