    Description

Polish Military Contingent in Afghanistan (PKW Afghanistan) - a separate component of the Polish Armed Forces, intended to restore security and reconstruction of Afghanistan, operating since 2002. Initially, it had more than 100 soldiers, and currently about 200 (in 2010–2011 almost 2600, which means
is the largest military contingent in the entire history of the peace and stabilization missions of the Polish Army).
Military Unit 4814 (PKW ISAF) and JW 5008 (PKW RSM).
In the years 2008–2014, the main forces of the Polish Military Contingent Afghanistan were stationed in the province of Ghazni and in the structure of ISAF they appeared as the Polish-American Task Force White Eagle.
Earlier, in the years 2002–2007, as part of OEF, the contingent acted as the Polish Task Force.
