LAIKA Milky Way 1 Oz Silver Coin 1$ Niue 2022
This incredible 1 Oz Silver coin is the fourth issue in the new "Milky Way" series and is dedicated to Laika, the first animal in orbit. The coin has a wonderful design, features Proof quality and comes in an elegant black leather case, along with the Certificate of Authenticity. Limited mintage of 2.500 pieces worldwide. The reverse of the coin features a colored image of Laika's rocket. She went into orbit aboard the Sputnik 2 satellite on 3 November 1957. In the background there are some stylized space objects - stars, planets and other satellites. At the bottom, the inscription: "LAIKA" – the name of the coin. The reverse of the coin features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II illuminated by a ray of light coming from a flying saucer. All around the obverse, the inscriptions: "ELIZABETH II" – the name of the Queen, "1 DOLLAR" – the face value and "NIUE ISLAND 2022" – the country and the year of issue.
