Description

Edwardian Art Nouveau sterling silver bowl and plate. Made by William B. Kerr in Newark, ca 1910. Bowl: Round with straight and faceted sides. Plate has plain deep well and paneled shoulder. Acid-etched nursery rhyme characters including tuffet-sitting Miss Muffet, pre-fall Humpty Dumpty, and a sheep-less Bo Peep. All the classics plus a vacant frame for engraving the name of the most special character of all. Fully marked and numbered 5240.
