    Description

This is a rare photo - a black man with a white woman in the south (Virginia) during the 1930s or possibly the 1940s. The man is dressed in a suit and his wedding ring can be seen on his left hand. The man's right hand is hugging the white lady's hip and her arm is around him also. The woman is dressed in a nice stylish dress. They are standing outside of a house in what appears to be a rural area of Virginia. I believe this photo is from Virginia, but I could be wrong. I found this black and white photo near Richmond, Virginia with other images from the area. This is a rare opportunity to own an original print photo of a African American man with a Caucasian woman when some states, including Virginia, barred interracial marriages.  The miscegenation laws were overturned by the US Supreme Court in 1967 (Virginia case Loving v. Virginia). Photos like this one could have resulted in imprisonment or even worse for this couple.  ***The words "EBAY" will not be on the actual photo.
The photo is an original black & white print and measure 8x10 inches. The photo has some wear and a small crease on it in the top right corner. Please review the many photos that I took.  I ship fast with tracking, on the same or next day. Buy with confidence. I'm Top Rated Plus with excellent feedback. Thank You
