Highest Departmental award for acts of heroism or courage involving great personal risk under unusual circumstances. Civilians are eligible for actions on or off duty which demonstrated outstanding courage and voluntary risk of personal safety in the face of danger in an emergency.
NOTE TO COLLECTORS: As of June 30, 2010, manufacturers are prohibited from selling this medal, or any of its components, commercially. Once my stock is gone, I will not be able to get more!
