Since the original made its arcade debut back in 1987,the franchise has revolutionized the fighting game genre and has become a staple in both the videogame and pop-culture world. This coin commemorates one of the most popular charcters Ryu, who is known for his punch called the
"Hadoken". It is a surging punch in which a fighter's willpower is utilized to focus energy into and through the palms. As the palms are thrust outwards towards the target, a surging energy wave is expelled that results in a punching force traveling through the air in the opponent's direction.
