2017 Lunar Series Dragon & Phoenix 1oz .999 Silver Proof High Relief Coin OGP.
Like other Australian coins, this coin bears Ian Rank-Broadley's right-side effigy of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse. The monarch wears a tiara and earrings. Several inscriptions are included along the rim, including her name, "ELIZABETH II," the issuing country, "AUSTRALIA," the date, "2017," the face value, "1 DOLLAR," and the coin's weight and purity, "1 OZ 9999 AG."
The reverse image is centered on a flaming pearl, which symbolizes enlightenment, wisdom and spiritual essence in Chinese culture. To the left of the pearl is a phoenix, a symbol of rebirth. To its right is a dragon, which stands for power, wealth, good luck and strength. Both of the creatures spread out to fill approximately half of the coin, with every one of their features executed in fine detail.
